Books

5.10am and it has been literally 5 hours since I curled up under my covers with the full intention of going to sleep at a somewhat appropriate hour. I guess after approximately a couple of years of this I can no longer deny that I have a problem.

At least I'm comfortable though. And happy. And above all, at peace. Because I've been so anxious lately, particularly in the moments before sleep. I just worry myself senseless over everything and reach for my phone constantly to add something to my To-Do list or put something into my planner.

Speaking of sleepless nights, I have to say mine has been made so much more bearable by the iPad! When my dad tossed me his first gen (after having replaced it with his new love, the iPad2) I was all dude, I have an iPhone. What would I do with this massive thing? Now it has replaced the staggering stack of books I used to keep at my bedside for bedtime reading. iBooks has rekindled my love for classics and I'm really appreciating the convenience of modern technology. Plus it's a good size and even makes the lovely flicking sound when you flip the page! Steve Jobs, you are a genius, please get well soon.

Here are a few I've read in the past week and would definitely recommend because I loved them all so much:

1. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
2. Little Men by Louisa May Alcott
3. Jo's Boys by Louisa May Alcott
4. A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett

As you can see, really loving the Little Women series. Especially the later ones. My favorite character would have to be Dan. Haha. What a coincidence.

I try to update my "currently reading" section but it just changes so fast and I'm just far too lazy. So maybe I'll just include a list at the end of some random posts. If anybody cares for it. I feel like there aren't enough readers around me. Thank god for my little sister Jean and my cousin Lily, because readers like me are geeky and thirst for book discussions.

It's pretty funny, how sister and I are constantly talking about some story or other, and eavesdropping mommy would be all "Who?!" as if expecting some juicy bit of gossip about a real life person. Haha!

This is a very random post that has somehow turned into a book-discussion. Ish. The morning prayers from a nearby mosque is blaring. I shall return to my iBooks and hope Pride and Prejudice would put me to sleep.

Have a nice day everybody.:)
